James Alexander


James started mowing grass in 1998 and has turned that passion for landscape into what Alexander’s is today. As well as owner, James is involved in the day to day operations and works closely with customers and crews. You may see him on a property in one of the bright orange safety t-shirts, side by side with our crews! James has a passion for classic cars and trucks, and enjoys riding his Harley and spending time in the outdoors.

Leigh Magadanz

Office Manager

Prior to joining Alexander’s, in 2016, Leigh was employed by the Tampa office of CBIZ, Inc. (KRMT) for 8 years, and had previously spent 22 years in the corporate office of Eckerd Corporation. In her dual role as Controller and Office Manager, Leigh is part of the lead management team at Alexander’s, assisting customers, vendors and Alexander’s employees.  She enjoys helping people within the organization and in her community.  Leigh is married and has two adult (married) children and two precious granddaughters and one grandson.  She enjoys spending time with her family.

Tay Navarro

Administrative Assistant

Tay is the administrative assistant in the corporate office, located in Largo, Fl. In addition to her general office tasks, she fields all incoming calls, assisting customers, vendors, and employees. Tay has been with Alexander’s for about 2 years. She is the mother of four small children and a rambunctious puppy and enjoys spending time with her children on the beach and reading.

Sam Pitts

Account Manager

Sammy has been in the green industry for 25 years in the Tampa Bay area. Sammy joined Alexanders in the field as a Crew Leader. His skills in leading his crew and providing excellent service warranted a promotion to Account Manager. Sammy enjoys working hand in hand with his crews on a daily basis ensuring all customer concerns are addressed while driving production and safety. Sammy enjoys fishing, coaching little league football and spending time with his family.

Gary Alfaro

Account Manager

Gary is an account manager who values quality work and building strong relationships with customers. He places a great emphasis on employee hiring and retention, recognizing the importance of a strong team in delivering the best service to clients.

When he’s not working, he’s often watching football and cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He is a family man with a wife and four children. He loves to travel and explore new cultures and is always on the lookout for new and exciting foods to try. With his passion for both work and leisure, Gary brings a well-rounded perspective to everything he does.

Hunter Manes

Business Development Manager

Hunter is our self-driven business development manager. Hunter has a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture Science and has had a self-profound love for plants ever since he started working in plant nurseries at a young age. Hunter is also an experienced sales professional with documented success through strong relationship building. He is able to help his clients solve problems and find efficient long-term solutions.  He has experience in all aspects of Landscaping. Hunter has been an intern, an account manager, a tree care business developer, and now a business development manager.

Outside of work, you will find Hunter on the golf course or boating with his friends.

Joey LoPinto

Production Manager

Joey brings 18 years of experience in the landscape industry. Born in Staten Island, New York, he lived there until 1992 before relocating to the Tampa Bay Area, primarily in Pinellas County. Joey is a dedicated family man, cherishing moments with his wife and seven children. Outside of work, he is passionate about football, golf, and camping.

Joey’s personal motto is, “Every day, I strive to be the best person, father, and husband I can be”.
